Big News, Readers!

Hi there, S&F fans! I just received the green light yesterday for my first solo show! Hooray!

The opening will be June 10, 2010 at the old Bluebottle/new Cakespy Shop gallery from 5p-8p in connection with the Capitol Hill art walk!

The fun part about this show is that I'm making *new* Fugitives (and a few twists on old favorites)! I'll be posting updates and behind the scenes photos, etc in the upcoming weeks. I'll probably also throw in a contest or two as well!

Right now though, I've got a lot of planning to do. In addition to the new show, I'm still in the thick of Stupid F Awesome (warning: Don't click if you have an aversion to the f word.). I'll also have a short 37 day project starting on April 19th and running through May 25th when I turn, um, 37.

since a lot of s&f readers are into my stenciling, i thought i'd mention that this afternoon i made a tcake.



it's chocolate cake with rum buttercream icing. that's all really. oh, recipe links are on the flickr photo.

i'm slow in posting this but last week (??) kristen rask's new book button and stitch got a nice mention on craft blog.
