i know what you're thinking, you're thinking "omg!!1 p0n1es!!!1!!". (well, maybe not. that joke is pretty old...) still, secretariat and his triple crown win have always been pretty important to me. why? well, for starters, he won the first leg of the triple crown in may of '73, my birth month.

also, i mean, you've seen the footage of him in the belmont, right?

i got to see the old guy before he died when he was out to pasture at claiborne farm in kentucky. i'll bet you didn't know i was so goofy about the ponies, did you?
